Our Founders

Aegis Electric was founded by Brent Blassingame, Mason Hein, and Tom Lyne with a shared vision: to build an electrical service company that puts people first, both customers and employees while delivering reliable, high-quality work across Bryan-College Station and beyond. With over 30 years of combined electrical experience, our team serves both residential and commercial customers throughout the Brazos Valley.

Mason Hein and Tom Lyne have deep roots in the Brazos Valley and a strong track record of building trusted service businesses in the area. Tom is also the owner and founder of Tom Lyne Plumbing and Mechanical, Inc., and alongside Mason, co-founded TMJ Electric. Brent Blassingame, owner and founder of Brothers Plumbing Co., has proudly called College Station home for over a decade after moving from Fairfield, Texas.

At Aegis Electric, we’re not just focused on today. We’re building for the future. Our long-term vision includes expanding into new markets while creating opportunities for employee ownership through apprenticeship programs and tenure-based growth. Whether through profit sharing or individual location ownership, we believe the people doing the work should share in the success.

Our mission is to provide lasting solutions, not quick fixes. We take pride in doing things the right way. It means showing up when we say we will, communicating clearly, and treating every job with care and attention to detail.
